Love Abroad

Growing up, I always wondered what life would be like if my parents had sent me to a boarding school. Being a military brat it probably would have given me a stable environment to live in. I never thought about the possibility of falling in love at boarding school, and I definitely never thought about going to one over seas. But let's be honest how cool would that be? To be on your own in another country. Visiting cool places with your class mates all the time, and learning the language, unless you already know it. I like to explore so I wouldn't even be mad about getting shipped off. I've been independent my whole life and pretty adaptable. But what happens when you feel like you're being forced to go some where for your senior year of high school? All those friends you made won't be there for you at your new school... What happens when you start developing a relationship with someone and are forced to leave them behind only to start having feelings for someone else? Will people get hurt or will everyone be happy in the end? Will you discover new things about yourself or give up on trying new things?

Meet Anna...

Anna had  a perfect plan going. She was going to start dating her crush and have the best senior year ever. This soon comes to a halt after Anna's  dad decides to send her to a boarding school in France for Americans. He wants Anna to become more cultured. For the first time in her life Anna will learn what it feels like to be alone, have all the friends in the world, and she'll learn what love and happiness is all about.  Follow Anna on her journey.

What I thought?

This book was really good. It kind of messes with your emotions because you wish that certain things didn't happen. After reading this book I want to learn French and Italian and just travel the world. It's a romantic novel that will make you wish you could experience the similar things Anna is going through. It was kid of a short read, that is if you are a really fast reader, but I'd recommend just slowly enjoying the story. You won't regret reading this book.

Sorry

Dear followers,
.....
Actually I just laughed at that. Anyways expect a couple of posts later, I want them to be perfect and I want you to be able to benefit from them. I guess it's a given that you're not going like and or agree with all of my posts but I hope that maybe you'll like some of them.

With love,

Mercy Me.

Action, Adventure, Romance

The Talented Saga by Sophie Davis

It's fresh, hot, and it makes you just want to keep reading.

Have you ever read something that gave you chills, made you cry, made you fall in love or just made you want to do something different? These books did all three to me. It's a series so there is only so much I can say without giving away too much spoiler alerts.  I remember when the Twilight books became big and turned into movies most of the books I read were about vampires or magic. Especially with Harry Potter being big too. There is absolutely nothing wrong with reading about those subjects except for the fact that it kind of gets boring.

The thing that's different about these novels is that it's not about "magic", it's about mutations that give people the ability to do extraordinary things. These books are like spy novels with more action, back stabbing, romance, with a little hint of revenge.  Follow Talia Lyons on her journey to seek justice as she learns the difference from what's right and what's to far. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. It is basically a teen drama and it's a really good read. Talented is book one, Caged book two, and Hunted is book three.

I warn you that there may be moments that make you want to cry or throw your book at the wall.  But if you really love the series your in luck because there is a fourth book coming out and a book that gives you more details. This series will teach you that you can train and work hard all the time for something you want, but one little thing can change all that.

You might fall in love with these books or you might have a completely different opinion. Be sure to comment and tell me your thoughts.

Coming soon!

So, some people have given me some book recommendations. Here's the current list of whats to come...

Still accepting recommendations from many different genres. Please just let me know what you want to read about.

A blog about books...

Sure a blog about books is great... But what's a blog with out followers? I'm blogging about books that I randomly read that people probably have never even heard about. My kindle is  always giving me recommendations based on the books that I have read. Sure introducing new books to people is great but it's hard when no one tells you what you should fix or change. I like criticism because even if it's harsh it can always be constructive. I want to be a writer but i can I do that if no one tells me what I'm doing wrong?

Just a thought...

Something about Movies

The difference between reality and Fiction.

So I wanted to do something different, or I guess you could say not talk about books for once. But the idea's kind of go hand in hand. Mean Girls, She's All that, She's the Man,High School Musical, and I could name a few other movies about high school but I'll stop there. You want to know what they all have in common? No of them are really that realistic. When I first watched High School Musical, I really thought that people randomly broke out in song during school. Maybe I was just some gullible kid but it really got my hopes up.  Imagine my shock as my parents told me, " I'm sorry to disappoint you sweetie, but singing and dancing like that really doesn't happen in real life."
Maybe I wasn't that disappointed in not being to dance with all my classmates, just thinking about my uncoordinated self dancing on tables and up the stairs just makes me cringe . But the drama and cliques? My High School experience has been nothing like that. Sure having no drama is a good thing, but when your in a school where nothing happens you just might want to see a cat-fight like the one from Mean Girls. The whole idea of standing up for someone or beliefs, I have yet to see that happen. One realistic thing I have seen in movies and television shows is the use of the internet. Cyber-bullying, trash talk, private pictures all being exposed on social network sites and through text messages. With smartphones being able to screen shot  is as easy as 1-2- I show that picture you sent me to the whole school hope you don't mind. So for now on if you want the daily drama details just check twitter.

A Theory on Why these movies are so Good.

In a recent discussion I had with one of my fellow acquaintances we talked about the people behind the movies. Maybe the reason why these movies are so good is because the person who created them had an awful high school experience.  Actually maybe their experiences just sucked and to make up for it they made their fantasies come to real life. John Tucker Must die, was a great movie but now that I think about it who comes up with this stuff? That movie seemed way more college based because let's face it in high school everyone knows who's dating who. I mean maybe if i got asked out be guys on the regular basis I could say movies are pretty realistic. Nope just living vicariously through the characters around me. Yes I did just refer to my friends and family as characters.

For now this is all I have to say about movies.

The Trallwyn High Novels.

Emily Evans and her creations

So theses books are not related to each other at all. The story lines are all different but surprisingly are all set at the same high school, Trallwyn. On the plus side they all have happy endings. :)

Boarding School Experiment

This book was different, I'm not sure how exactly to describe it but I guess you could say that it was really different from a lot of the books that I've read. It had a love-hate relationship, action/ adventure, kissing, drama, steroids and I didn't want it to end.  So if your into boarding school teen adventures I guess this book would be a good choice for you to read.

In My opinion

I would recommend this book to my friends but It's not a book that I can read over again. I don't have a problem with Emily Evans writing obviously but this just wasn't my favorite . I ranking for this novel would 3 stars out of 5. I'd give it about a 5.5 out of ten. Of course don't decide not to read it because I didn't like it. No you should find it, read it, and tell me what you think. My opinions aren't set in stone, I want to know if you agree or not.

Epic Escape

What if you could go on  a secret adventure with your best friend, a guy she would never admit to liking, and your secret crush? If you can barely talk to him at school how can you expect to go on an adventure with him? Well that's what this book is all about. Megan just cares about fashion that's what she loves to study. Her secret crush hates commitments and is the most popular guy in school, mainly with the ladies if you catch my drift, but every time she wants to say something to him she just stares.  Will her best friend loosen up to actually be happy for once? Will there be a happy ending?

What I thought?

I'd give this book an 8 because it was really cute. It's easy to relate to, aside from the whole getting sucked into some crazy adventure with vampires and killers? Sometimes you have to look at the books you read and remember if you want a happy ending you have to make one. Everyone should read this, can't really remember all the lines but I think there may have been some funny parts and some sad parts. But tell me what you think about this book please.

Do Over

Currently .99 cents on Amazon.com as kindle E Book

So I guess you could say I saved my favorite for last. It's a book about finding the best prom date, learning that there are jerks out there, and getting to know someone for who they really are and not just the image they put on for show.  Meet Paisley a girl who is on the mission to plan the perfect prom, find the perfect date, and possibly get her parents back together. So when her dad tells her to find a nice girl for his star athlete, Trey, her priorities start to change. He's hot, smart, and has a new girlfriend every week. You just can't help but think it's not going to end well.

I loved it

I guess you could say that header says it all... I really loved, no enjoyed this book. I read it 5 times. I hate reading books more than once because i already know what happens. But every time I read this book I learned something new. It really teaches you that you don't have to be a slut to get a guys attention. A guy might be a great kisser but he might be a jerk too. You never really know. There were many funny parts to this  book. I rolled my eyes many times and I was just so impressed. This is a hot book. Read it, love it, enjoy it and most importantly tell me if my opinion was yours too! Your not going to love every book but you should really love this one. It's a perfect ten.
